Yes, I know, I know, I've already made a post about Marcari and upcycling but it wasn't as detailed. I promise I have loads and loads of new information for you. It may be a wee bit long and isn't intended for virgin ears, but if you can handle a few cuss words continue reading.
I haven't been a member of their website for very long (started in August of this year, and didn't start listing anything until Mid-September) but in that short period of time I've already made $252.82 plus $31.50 that is currently processing. I think that is so freaking awesome; plus that is from selling ONLY 11 things. Not to mention I love getting great deals on there also. so far I've had only two transactions (where I was the buyer) that were not 5 stars out of probably 40 buyer transactions. one the girl sent me a pair of leggings that smelt like straight dumper/ass/rot, but thankfully after a few trips sailing through the wonderful water fall of the washing machine they smelt like the fresh Gain, I rated the buyer not knowing that I could have contacted Mercari and gotten a refund; had I handle the situation completely different. But we all make mistakes and learn from them so when the second bad experience happened (this week, no less) instead of just rating the seller ,like I did previously, I contacted Mercari and explained what was wrong and also supplied them of entertaining photos, I received a full refund and didn't even had to ship the boots back. let me just say the boots, oh, they were so pretty in the pictures and I was so excited to have gotten them. Well they arrived. All nicely packaged and shit. Me being me, I tore the box open pulled them out of the giant zip-lock type bag they where in. (Did I mention these boots where over the knee boots?) I slipped off my slides and proceeded to put them on. boy was I disappointed the shoe part fit but the calf part has been stretch soooooo bad that my sons legs could fit inside along with mine. *that's the funny/entertaining pictures they received* it was awful I was so disappointed. But thanks to that transaction I now Absolutely Positively Love doing business with them. They handled it within a matter of minutes.
Enough about my bad transactions and on to the others. The seller has three days to ship and once the buyer receives the item; they have three days to rate you. After you have been rated ,you then have your payment. Which I honestly think its better than Ebay, its simpler and shipping labels are created for you. All my other transactions have been wonderful! The sellers and buyers both being awesome people and shipping super fast and everything being as listed. I Love it. Check it out if you wanna de-clutter your house or just have a lot of extra stuff you don't wear or want anymore. They do have a small fee if you sell an item which you will know how much it is before you complete your listing and its hardly noticeable but there is no listing fee and if it doesn't sell no fee at all. buyers pay the taxes and the shipping fee unless you opt to offer free shipping.
well I truly hope this review is helpful to someone. Mercari has helped me make quite a bit of extra cash in just over a months time. Thanks for supporting my blog and hope you have enjoyed it so far.
